Zero message storage guarantee

Task.gg does not record, store, log, or monitor Discord user messages or server chat logs. Our bot reads a command or direct @Task.gg mention in transient volatile memory only long enough to capture the task you asked for and reply. No message text or chat history is ever retained, logged to disk, or stored in our databases.

1. Data collection & message non-storage policy

Task.gg collects only the minimum technical metadata and task details necessary to run your shared boards, reminders, and workspace.

What we do not collect or store

No Discord chat messages: we do not store, log, or save any messages sent in your servers or direct messages.
No message history: we do not archive past channel logs or conversation histories.
No private communications: your community's conversations remain strictly private.

The information we do store

Server ID: to identify which Discord server is connected to Task.gg.
Channel ID: to know where task digests, reminders, and bot replies are delivered.
User ID: to attribute task ownership, mentions, and dashboard access.
Task details you create: titles, project, assignee, status, priority, due dates, and channel - only for tasks you explicitly capture or add.
Email address: returned by Discord when you sign in, used to identify the account holding a server reservation and printed on your reservation receipt.
Configuration settings: project defaults, reminder schedules, working hours, notification preferences, and workspace branding.

2. Use of data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain shared task boards, projects, and reminders.
To notify you about task assignments, due dates, and workspace changes.
To provide customer support.
To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our services.
To detect, prevent, and address technical issues.
Public surveys: to collect user feedback on our platform. Reviews may be displayed publicly on our site as testimonials with your consent or administrative approval.

3. Task data and analytics

When you capture a task through Discord or create one in the dashboard, we store only the task fields you provide so the board stays in sync across your team. You can edit or delete any task at any time.

Workspace analytics

We aggregate task activity - counts, status changes, completion timing, and project distribution - to power dashboards and reports. This data is used to:

Show task volume, workload, and project progress in your dashboard.
Send weekly digests and reminder summaries to your chosen channels.
Improve board performance, search, and automation suggestions.
Enhance the overall reliability of the Task.gg service.

Aggregated analytics never include Discord message text, and we do not sell workspace data or use it to build advertising profiles.

4. Workspace content

Task titles, notes, and project details are supplied by you and your team. Task.gg stores and displays this content to run your workspace but does not create, verify, or endorse it. You are responsible for what you and your members add to a shared board.

5. Third-party services

We use third-party services to facilitate our services, including:

Discord: for bot functionality and OAuth authentication.
Dodo Payments: for processing subscription payments.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies, and we recommend reviewing them.

6. Data security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information and strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

7. Data retention

We retain your workspace data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Completed tasks and projects remain until you delete them or remove the bot. We may retain limited records to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can export task reports from the dashboard, or contact us through our support server or email. Where applicable, you may also request a copy of the data associated with your server or ask us to remove it entirely.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
